‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7, episode 4 preview: ‘Poor Little Lambs,’ and trouble for Charlie Hunnam’s Jax
For the first three episodes of season 7, “Sons of Anarchy” has given us this indication that they are building towards something genuinely crazy. We’ve seen the great irony of Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) defending his mother Sagal (Katey Sagal), and we have also seen a complicated plan by Jarry (Annabeth Gish) put into motion.
Is it possible that next week’s new episode “Poor Little Lambs” could be when all of these stories start to really hit the fan? Let us just say that it would not shock us. It also wouldn’t if we finally started to lose a major character. Juice has put himself on thin ice, and while we want to see Unser somehow survive to the very end of all this insanity, it would not come as much of a shock at all if his questions over Tara lead to trouble.
Ultimately, it just feels like now is the time for something insane, and show creator Kurt Sutter has done a tremendous job over the years of making the fourth episode of his seasons into one that you really want to sit down and discuss after the fact. Tonight’s episode had some brutal moments, including Jax acting as a bringer of violence on Gemma’s behalf. Still, though, every key player is alive, and we cannot imagine that still being the case by the time this series reaches its inevitable final act in a matter of weeks later this fall. Crazy times are still to come.
