‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: Howard vs. baseball
There are many stories that we are excited about on “The Big Bang Theory” moving forward, but any one in particular that puts our characters outside of their typical comfort zone is something that we fully support.
Therefore, the third episode of this season (airing September 29) gives us quite a bit to look forward to. The title is “The First Pitch Insufficiency,” and the purpose here is finding out whether or not Howard Wolowitz is going to be much of a capable performer when it comes to baseball. Want to know more? Then check out the attached synopsis:
“Wolowitz is nervous after NASA asks him to throw out the first pitch at a Los Angeles Angels game. Meanwhile, Leonard and Penny try to prove Sheldon wrong after he says that he and Amy are a ‘superior couple.'”
We have seen some really terrible first pitches over the years (go search for 50 Cent’s online), so with that in mind, we would at least argue that Howard will at least have a hard time of doing this worse than some other people that are out there. To us, it’s far more entertaining to see a seemingly athletic guy go up to the mound and complete fail at it. With that in mind, we’re hoping that Simon Helberg’s character finds a way to actually pull this off … at least if at all possible.
As for the Sheldon / Amy story, what you can at least take away from it is that whatever issues that the two have in the premiere are eventually resolved.
