Will ‘Big Brother 16’ tonight start on time, or be delayed by NFL football?
Love “Big Brother”? Well, you also better be prepared tonight for a little bit of a wait. The CBS series is falling victim to the same sort of thing that they often do around this time of year: NFL football.
So far, what we can tell you is that due to live programming, the East and Central time zone versions of the show have been pushed back. We’re trying to figure out an exact time that they will be coming back on the air, so stay tuned for that. The sad thing this time around is that it’s looking more and more like it will be a late one. Football ran even later than usual, and that means we’ve got quite a while to go until the game is on. “60 Minutes” is still pretty early on in the show.
There are many things that we wonder about at this time of year, and one of them is this: Why in the world even air “Big Brother” on Sundays at this time? Why not put it on Mondays before “Under the Dome,” or another timeslot that won’t get bumped around like this? We know why it happens, and from a business perspective it’s hard to blame CBS for the move. Football gets better demo ratings than almost anything on the planet, and they have a big deal with the NFL to get the games. It’s just unfortunate for the fans who try to plan out their TV schedules, and this sort of thing means that they either cannot watch this show, “Boardwalk Empire,” or something else. The show will probably start around 8:50.
We’ll have a review of the episode later, so be on the lookout for that. Our latest live feed updates are in the attached sidebar.
