ABC’s ‘Resurrection’ season 2 spoilers: First details on premiere, Michelle Fairley
As a part of today’s massive premiere unveiling, ABC was kind enough to unleash some solid scoop on their premiere of “Resurrection,” which is a show that does have quite a few substantial challenges before it. It has to prove that there is a larger story here to tell, that this will not be like the second season of “Under the Dome,” and that there is a way still to raise the stakes.
Most of these challenges will hopefully be met in the September 28 premiere, which carries with it the official title of “Revelation.” This episode will mark the debut of Michelle Fairley, and also introduce us to way more of Agent Bellamy’s life. Just take a look at the official synopsis:
“Bellamy awakens alone and abandoned at Arcadia’s outskirts, missing a week of his life. As his memory returns, he has a shocking revelation. Meanwhile, Arcadia welcomes one more returned, Margaret Langston (Game of Thrones‘ Michelle Fairley), the powerful matriarch of the Langston family, dead for over three decades.”
In some ways, recruiting Fairley may be the ace in the hole for “Resurrection” right now, given that she was obviously great on “Game of Thrones,” and has since also turned in great performances on both “24: Live Another Day” and the third season of “Suits.” If you are sad about the idea of her never playing Catelyn Stark again, maybe this show will be good enough to help you forget … maybe. It still has a lot of work cut out for it.
