‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Good Wife,’ ‘Suits’ actors sign on

The Blacklist logo any season“The Blacklist” is a great show to watch just for entertainment, but it also has to be a pretty great show for actors out there. Why wouldn’t you want to appear on this show? The quality is here, and you also have the ratings. Basically, this is a great stepping stone if you want a bigger role somewhere else.

With all this being said now, let’s get to sharing some of that new casting scoop. Per Entertainment Weekly, David Fonteno of “The Good Wife” is set to guest-star in an upcoming season 2 episode as Senator Sheridan, an associate of Agent Cooper who has some interesting dealings with the U.S. Government. He’s described as a “southern gentleman,” but in the world of politics, this can always be a cover of some sort.

Meanwhile, David Costabile of “Suits” and “Low Winter Sun” will be the blacklister in this same episode. His name is Dr. Linus Creel, and he reminds us almost of the Scarecrow from the Batman comics. He is a psychiatrist who works in wards and clinics all around the Washington DC area, but his methods are certainly more than a little unusual.

We use the Scarecrow analogy here in particular because we feel like one of the talents that “The Blacklist” has is that even though this is a network drama that is grounded in some sort of reality, it does have a great comic-book quality to it. You have heroes and villains, but the lines between the two are almost always blurry and complicated. Plus, the bad guys on this show tend to be layered, and have unique motivations for why they do what they do.
