‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 spoilers: See (awesome) new photo of Lauren Cohan’s Maggie

Just in case you were not excited enough already about “The Walking Dead” season 5, here comes photo proof that AMC really wants you to be. The attached image here is of Lauren Cohan as Maggie, and it is the first substantial photo that the network has released of her from the new season.

This image comes to us via TVLine, and in one word, it’s pretty darn awesome. It serves as a very great reminder that Maggie has only become more determined over time, despite all that she has been through emotionally. Her father Hershel is dead, and who knows what has transpired with Beth? Emily Kinney’s character is still out there, and while no one knows for certain what happened to the character, we prefer to believe in our brain that she is in fact alive.

The issue for Beth is that we don’t imagine Maggie or any of the characters on the show staying in one place for very long. While season 5 will begin with many of the characters in Terminus, from there it will eventually transition out as they work their way slowly to Washington DC to fulfill the goal of getting Eugene there. This will allow the show to be in its most urban settings since the very first season, which comes with distinct advantages and disadvantages. The good news here is that you may get a chance to see some functioning communities that have found a way to survive during this apocalypse. The bad news? There may also be way more walkers thanks simply to the high concentration of people.
