‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Sophie Turner on further Sansa surprises

As “Game of Thrones” season 5 progresses, it certainly appears as though you will see character transformations aplenty … and for Sansa Stark, that means more than just undergoing a goth makeover that have some out there referring to her as “Darth Sansa.”

Sophie Turner of course cannot dish out every little secret of what HBO has in store for her this coming season, but speaking to HitFix in a new interview while promoting her movie “Another Me,” she promised opportunities for her to work with a variety of new characters this coming year:

“‘Game of Thrones’ is so unpredictable and it was a big surprise what is happening to her this season … I am so excited because it gives me the opportunity to work with new people and it goes in a completely different direction. I think the fans will really like where her storyline is going this season.” 

For us, season 4 was when Sansa started to really endear herself more as a character. We felt for her during her journey, and wanted to see more and more of what happened to her as she learned the politics of Westeros even further. Here’s to hoping that all of this is still a major theme when season 4 premieres on HBO in the spring of 2015. Who knows? Maybe she will actually get to see another Stark sibling after coming so close to colliding with Arya this past season before Brienne took on the Hound and she ended up on a boat. So long as the character continues to evolve, we’re happy.
