‘White Collar’ season 6: Matt Bomer books next TV gig on ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’
As it turns out, it took Matt Bomer little time at all to figure out where he wanted to go next on TV following “White Collar.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor has agreed to sign on for an episode of “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” though details are unclear other than that he will appear in only one episode, and as a character best described as “warped.”
As for how this gig came to pass in the first place, it really is not that hard to figure out. Bomer and show co-creator Ryan Murphy obviously have a great relationship. Matt appeared in an episode of “Glee” as Blaine’s brother Cooper Anderson, and he also starred in the TV movie “The Normal Heart,” which is a favorite tomorrow night at the Primetime Emmy Awards.
For now, it is hard to be anything other than thrilled about this casting. Bomer is obviously an enormous talent, and we have the utmost confidence that he will be amazing in this role.
The new season of “American Horror Story” will premiere come Wednesday, October 8 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, and we’ll have some more scoop on it as we get closer and closer to the show coming back on the air. Meanwhile, the jury is still out on when “White Collar” will return for its sixth and final season. We would assume that the premiere would either be in November (like last year), or early next year, where they can just run off the final six episodes in succession. As you would expect, we’ll have more news on both shows as they break.
