2014 MTV VMAs: Where to live stream red carpet pre-show, watch telecast
Later tonight, MTV is going to have itself one epic awards show courtesy of the 2014 Video Music Awards, but don’t you want to have a good way to see the stars arrive?
If you have the cable network, our advice first and foremost is to turn on the TV at around 8:00 p.m. Eastern to see many of the red-carpet arrivals for the big show. However, at the same time we know that there are many of you either without it, or just stranded because someone else has the remote. We’re here to help! You can see some of the red-carpet arrivals live later today using MTV’s own live streaming video here, which gives you a completely different angle on things. It also is somewhat fascinating to watch just from the vantage point of seeing what a red carpet is really like, from the flurry of reporters to all of the handlers and publicists who are in attendance making sure that their clients come across like superstars.
We fully expect there to be some craziness tonight, mostly because this is what the show is known for. Just take a look at what Miley Cyrus did last year, what happened with Britney Spears and Madonna years ago, or Kanye West deciding to come out of nowhere and turn Taylor Swift into an even bigger star by bashing her on live TV by interrupting her speech.
The telecast itself starts at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, and are suggestion is to check our local listings depending on where you live. There is no consistent live stream that is sanctioned by the network, and we don’t want to direct you somewhere that may or may not work.
