‘Rising Star’ finale preview: Is Jesse Kinch, Austin French, or Dana Williams likely winner?

Are you still watching “Rising Star“? The singing show has seen its numbers dwindle over time, mostly due to the fact that the singers are not entirely impressive, and the format has not quite worked describe fantastic host Josh Grabon and an interesting premise. (We in part blame Kesha for being the most vanilla judge ever and voting “Yes” to every single person.)

Luckily, the finale does at least contain four singers who we feel are all pretty talented people capable of going out there and doing some good stuff. We’re going to do our best to personally rank them now, and then we’ll see if America does the same when the episode actually airs.

4. Audrey Kate Gieger – We probably like Audrey the second-most out of everyone left, but we are putting her here based mostly on the fact that she needed the West Coast viewers to even ensure that she made it this far.

3. Dana Williams – Very talented, but there were some up-and-down weeks during the competition. If she delivers her best vocal, we could see her possibly getting second place on the night … but it will still be tough.

2. Austin French – To us, most of the season has felt like a race between these too guys. Austin is more of that “good ol’ boy” that you want to root for, just because of who he is and the natural, sweet tone of his voice.

1. Jesse Kinch – Meanwhile, we still feel like Jesse is the most electric choice, and therefore the guy we would really like to see win it all. He’s been the most consistent, and while he has played it a little safe, he’s been so good that pushing the envelope has not been a necessity.
