‘NCIS’ season 12: Michael Weatherly posts photo from ‘New Orleans’ crossover

We teased earlier this week that Michael Weatherly was currently in the process of filming his crossover episode on “NCIS: New Orleans,” and we’ve now got some photographic proof of that very thing!

In a post on Twitter, the actor shared the following (very funny) picture from the set, along with the caption “Dinozzo goes for the body condom.” The “NCIS” star is clearly going to be doing some serious business on the show, and you now have to wonder just what sort of building he’s in here. Is it a hospital? We can’t imagine a whole lot of other locations (other than a meth lab) where you’d need to dress like that.

We will say that it is a pretty brilliant move on the part of the producers for the two shows to ensure that a crossover event happens pretty early on in the fall, given that you want to do everything that you can to make this new version of the show a success. You’ve given it a great timeslot after “NCIS,” but the reason you still have to worry is because for some people, trying to watch three versions of the show in one week is a little much. You have to hope that you get some “NCIS” diehards on board right away to strengthen the base, but at the same time, you better hope that fans of Scott Bakula or the other members of the cast check it out. You will probably need both in the event if you really want to turn this show into something that lasts a long time.
