‘Sherlock’ season 4: Benedict Cumberbatch’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is beyond awesome
Even though Benedict Cumberbatch may have made you wait for a while in order to see his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video, it’s certainly worth it now that we have actually seen it. This has to go down as one of the best ones to date, and for many reasons. It emphasizes charity, but at the same time also features an awesome celebrity and some great comedy to boot.
The premise of the video is simple enough: Almost like he is being stalked, the “Sherlock” actor finds himself followed by ice buckets almost everywhere he goes. He gets hit by them in the shower, while in a suit, or even while running to get in his car to avoid getting hit with ice buckets. It really doesn’t matter where he goes, but these things continue to happen to him.
Clearly, Cumberbatch knows why people love him, and he is fine to play that up. He also is one of the few videos to really single out a specific charity, and his is the MND Association. For those unaware, MND is what those in the United Kingdom often refer to ALS as, with a slight different being that there are some versions of MND that are not necessarily ALS.
Overall, we absolutely love the Benedict did this, and we also find some of the people he challenges in here to be pretty awesome. If he can actually convince Harvey Weinstein to take part of this, we will be both incredibly amazed and proud.
