‘Suits’ season 4, episode 11 spoilers: What’s next for Louis, Sarah Rafferty’s Donna?
There were many fantastic scenes that took place on the summer finale for “Suits” tonight, but the one that will continue to ring in our head for the longest amount of time is that angry confrontation between Louis and Donna. Rick Hoffman and Sarah Rafferty played this brilliant from start to finish, mostly because we saw / understood exactly how everyone felt.
For example, Louis is going to be understandably heartbroken given that he trusted Donna with everything, and the two had such a great relationship this year. To find out that she had been keeping this big secret is devastating. However, at the same time she was never trying to deliberately hurt him and ruin his life.
Creator Aaron Korsh obviously has more invested in this story than anyone, which is why he find some of his comments on the subject to Entertainment Weekly all the more interesting:
“ As a viewer, I see both sides. Donna really cares about him and for him very deeply. She’s demonstrated that many, many times, both to Louis and behind Louis’ back during the course of this season. She didn’t really mean to betray Louis, but this secret kinda forced her into that position. So if Louis could understand that, it would probably soften his anger towards her. On the other hand, he’s got legitimate anger towards her. She went out of her way to lie to him more than once, and it touched on his relationship with Sheila. Regardless of how long or short it would take them to recover, I think it’s not gonna be easy for them to recover. It broke my heart to see that scene. But in a good way.”
As for whether or not Pearson Specter will become Pearson Specter Litt at some point in the future, Korsh wouldn’t say. However, it’s hard to imagine many other situations playing out here.

We haven’t even gotten Harvey into this picture yet. Harvey isn’t going to put his tail between his legs like Jessica regardless of the threat of jail time. In the end, they’ll probably bring him and his former associate back.
We also can’t forget that Robert Zane is in the picture. This is key because they brought him into this episode and made a big deal about the favor he made by bringing it up with Mike later on. Robert Zane is going to collide with Pearson Specter (Litt?) at some point next season in a very high profile deal, he’ll probably try to call in his favor and Harvey won’t be able to budge. Mr. Zane will then dig into the reason why all these people were pushing for Louis’ hire before taking him back and naming him as a partner. There may be a direct attack on the firm and a discovery about Mike that could cause some issue in his relationship with Rachel; after all, we can’t forget her warning that she didn’t ask her father for anything for a reason.

Discovery about Mike is impossible, as then he would certainly go to jail or at least leave Pearson Specter, as unlike Rachel, he hasn’t gone to any law school. And Jessica is actually the one who would rather fight Louis, Harvey in some way even likes him more than than Jessica.

Even though it’s highly unlikely it would be awesome to see the second half of the season start before 2015, we are a dedicated and impatient fan base to the “suits” franchise! Can’t wait to see what happens next. :)
