‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4, episode 3 ratings bounce back, raise renewal odds
There are few shows on CarterMatt that we give weekly ratings reports for, but when it comes to “Hell on Wheels” there is a certain value and fascination to it for us. This is a show, after all, that airs on a very difficult night, and it intrigues us to see how many people really bother to stick around for it rather than just setting their DVRs. Plus, we really want to see it back for another season!
The latest ratings intel that we have right now definitely seems to be pretty good news. Per TVbythenumbers, the show scored 2.17 million viewers and also a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. We are not going to sit here and say that these numbers blow the roof off or anything, but they do mark an increase from what the show drew last week in both key measures. They are, however, still down from the premiere.
For those looking for a year-to-year comparison, this is actually a rise from where the show was in viewers for the third episode of season 3. Note that this was actually the lowest-rated episode of 2013, but there’s not enough data to really say that this is anything other than coincidental. The important thing to us is that across the board so far, the live ratings are pretty stellar from one season to the next. This is great news for all those hoping to see the show renewed, and we still feel like it will if this trend continues from start to finish.
