‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7: See Charlie Hunnam, Theo Rossi in official cast photos

With the September 9 premiere for “Sons of Anarchy” rapidly approaching, this means it is time to touch on what is another important milestone: Sharing the final set of promotional cast photos for the show.

For the second straight year, we are seeing here a definite black-and-white motif, with the biggest surprise to us being all of the smoking that is going on in these. In some ways, we certainly understand and “get it” that this is a big part of biker culture, and it suits the characters. But why implement that right now? We feel like the photos last year had the same sort of finality to them that they do this time around.

With that being said, there are some definitely cool ones in here. This one of Juice (Theo Rossi) above is extremely cool and shows his paranoid state after his role in Tara’s death. Also, it is really nice to see Wendy (Drea de Matteo) actually get a promotional photo for a change to go along with the new series regular status that she has been presented with.

In the end, the biggest takeaway that we have from all of these is that we are not gearing up right now for some sort of happy musical number as we get to the end of the road. This is the same dark “Sons of Anarchy” that you’ve known and loved, and the story is not going to change now just because we are near the end and people are starting to get a little bit nostalgic.
