‘The Fosters’ season 2, episode 11: When will season 2B air?

Tonight, “The Fosters” will wrap up the first part of season 2 … but is more coming in the future? Based on the fact that everyone is referring to tonight’s “Someone’s Little Sister” as the “Season 2A” finale, it is safe to say that there will be more from this story coming in the future.

As for when it could air, our guess is simple knowing the show’s previous history: January 2015. That is when the back half of season 1 aired, and it feels like pairing the show with “Switched at Birth” is a pretty smart move, given that the shows both have that uplifting drama quality to them. Also, it does not make a whole lot of sense for the show to premiere a new series in the winter rather than the summer, given that this is when they traditionally have the most exposure and the smallest amount of competition.

At the moment, what we would be more worried about if you are a fan of this show is whether or not “The Fosters” really has a good chance of making it to a season 3. The ratings are down for the most part versus season 1, and we’ve seen time and time again that this is a network not afraid to pull the plug on shows. They canceled “Twisted” and “Bunheads” after only one season despite having decent audiences. Who knows what they would ultimately do here? Our suggestion is just that if you love the show, watch and tell your friends! If nothing else, set your DVRs for it.
