‘Masters of Sex’ season 2, episode 7 preview: Is a change for Masters, Johnson coming?

The drama is getting more and more present on “Masters of Sex,” and all of this will start to come to a boil. It’s becoming clear that there are problems in Dr. Masters’ marriage, and the irony here at this point is that not all of it even has to do with Virginia anymore.

The title for this episode is “Asterion,” which can be a reference to a number of different things. It can refer to a part of a skull, or be a reference to Greek mythology and kings of the island of Crete. Regardless, it denotes in a way a sense of gravitas and importance, and this could be one of the most important hours of the entire season. He’s going to do everything he can to keep the study going, but there will be consequences to how far he is willing to go.

“Masters becomes impotent without Johnson’s knowledge, after learning that she is continuing to have romantic relationships with other men, so he cuts off their sexual work together. Meanwhile, Masters tries to keep his new clinic solvent by borrowing against his house and offering medical services to the hotel.”

Eventually, there is going to be a point where we just want the show to stop spinning its wheels and put Masters and Johnson together like they are at the end of the day. However, we don’t feel like we are quite there yet. We could see that happening around the end of the season.
