‘The Amazing Race Canada 2’ episode 7 preview: Emotional moments in Normandy
On this past episode of “The Amazing Race Canada 2,” something unbelievably sad in our eyes took place: We had to say goodbye to Rex & Bob. These two were the most entertaining trainwreck possible. We knew that they had little chance at winning, but their occasional bickering and behavior made for great fun.
With this being said, “fun” does not really seem like the entire priority of the episode airing on Tuesday night. While the racers are going out of the country and heading to Normandy, France, they are going to spend some time there remembering those Canadians who fell so many years ago in one of the most emotional moments of the entire season.
What the Canadian version of the show has done very well is show multiple sides of what it means to be from this country, and to celebrate its culture even in other parts of the world. At times, this even means reflecting on lives that are lost. This is something that the American version of the show did in visiting Hiroshima, and we also saw with the Australian version of the show as they paid a visit to the Cardboard Cathedral in Christchurch, which is a memorial for those who died in the earthquake.
As for some fun, don’t worry: There will also still be plenty of competition and tasks to be completed in there. This show knows that it’s about escapism and entertainment most of the time, and you will have plenty of that from start to finish.
