‘True Blood’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Eric, Bill, and ‘Love Is to Die’ teases
Tomorrow night, fans of “True Blood” better prepare for an episode that will cause their brains to quite possibly melt. “Love Is to Die” is the penultimate installment, and by the end of it, we may learn a thing or two about where this story could come to a close.
But for this article, let us try to hypothesize around one simple subject: What in the world this title could mean. Obviously, you can read something into this name suggesting that death is coming for a character, and we would definitely not be surprised at all if something crazy happened. Bill Compton is clearly the most likely candidate to go, given that he refused the cure for the H-Vamp virus on this past episode. Thanks to his own actions with it, Eric Northman is finally in the clear.
As for some other candidates to potentially make an early demise here after being such a big part of the show…
Pam – What could be the one thing that devastates Eric the most and makes him hate Gus? If he finds out about what happened with Bill, and decides to murder Pam in the process.
Sam – He hasn’t had anything to do most of the season, so he may as well be in the crosshairs for a little while longer.
Jessica – Just by being around carriers for the virus, she has to be concerned for her own safety.
The funny thing is now that we don’t really see there being that many major candidates to die Sunday, given that other than maybe Gus and Sarah Newlin depending on her mood, there are not that many adversaries still out there. Rather than a bloodbath, “True Blood” may be ending with quiet, powerful character stories.
