‘Homeland’ season 4: See Mandy Patinkin, cast in all-new video

We’re now yet another day closer to the premiere of “Homeland” on Sunday, October 5, and in this case, this means an opportunity to check out yet another preview stuffed full of things to expect.

This video comes to us via BuzzFeed, and shows off the general sentiment right now that Saul (Mandy Patinkin), Carrie (Claire Danes), and the rest of the current cast have about their very-complicated jobs. They know that there are problems that come with it on the daily, and also a variety of different frustrations, as well. For example, the feeling that you are fighting the same battle time and time again versus actually doing something new.

In terms of the story for the episodes ahead, what we can tell you is that the new season will pick up in a new location and with a completely different attitude. Carrie is now in Pakistan, where she is working with a team as a part of a brand-new operation. Quinn is one of the only returning faces still with the CIA, whereas Saul is more of an independent contractor at this point following his exit. While his specific role is not entirely clear just yet, rest assured that he will still be very much involved in what happens.

There is going to be a two-hour premiere for the new season, and what we really take from that for the time being is that Showtime really wants to ensure that they give people hope that this series is excellent again. Season 3 wasn’t terrible, but it was a step below what we have come to expect.
