‘The Amazing Race: Australia vs. New Zealand’ episode 2 preview: Someone breaks the rules
While there is no international promo available for next week’s episode of “The Amazing Race: Australia vs. New Zealand,” it is still definitely worth talking about here for a number of different reasons.
What’s one of the biggest ones? We are on the cusp of seeing something that has rarely happened on any version of the show over the years: Penalties for breaking the rules. We’ve watched every season of the American, Canadian, and Australian versions, and the only team we remember getting directly penalized for something like this was Mark & Michael from the US edition, after they tried to hide tools to make it harder on other teams to complete a task. To be fair, it’s likely happened on some other occasions, and we just were not shown it since it did not impact anything with the race.
Whatever happened here is something that most-likely does impact the placement or events within the story, and it already seems as though the rivalries are starting … and not just between Aussie and Kiwi teams. There’s fighting from within!
Location-wise, the show is heading over to Cambodia to get things going, and there may be a challenge that literally requires someone to eat spider. Typically on this show, we are not afraid of the food challenges that require you to eat something disgusting. However, we hate spiders. Absolutely hate them. This would probably be one of the few things that we were literally too afraid of to want to take part in. (Then again, there is a ton of money at the end of the race…)
We’ll of course be back with another episode review next week, but are you loving this season for now? Share in the comments, and head over here if you missed our review of the premiere. Finally, race to this link to get more TV scoop on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
