‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6 spoilers: Daniela Ruah on future for Deeks, Kensi

It’s been a long time since we have seen any news at all in regards to Kensi and Deeks on “NCIS: Los Angeles,” so isn’t it time to change that. Ultimately, this is what this story is all about.

Are these two finally going to be getting closer on the show? Sooner or later, we do have to think that they are going to get together … but that may not happen right away despite their progression. Speaking to E! News, here is what Daniela Ruah had to say about some of the relationship drama that could be coming up:

“There’s a lot of love between these characters, whether they’ve established it as being a romantic love or sexual tension or friendship or brotherly and sisterly love … There’s obviously a really strong connection between these characters and we’ll have to keep watching the build or destruction of the relationship.”

This quote is in some ways exciting and also frustrating, mostly out of our fear that this could turn out like Tony / Ziva on “NCIS” proper where someone leaves before the story really gets to play out. It’s not that we feel like something like that will happen anytime soon; this is just our paranoid TV brain talking.

If nothing else, we do feel pretty confident in saying that you’re not going to have to worry nearly as much about another season of the two characters spending a ton of time apart. This happened during season 5, but mostly as a byproduct of Ruah’s pregnancy and her filming her story separately.
