‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Phoenix Rising,’ and Jane’s next move
Is “Rizzoli & Isles” going to be taking some emotional turns throughout this fifth season? It certainly looks like it, based on what we know now about the handful of episodes that are coming up.
On Tuesday night, Jane is going to be going “off the grid” in a way that is not only harmful for her, but could also be for her pregnancy. You have to remember that she has to be even more careful right now than she is the majority of the time, despite however difficult that may be for her.
Two weeks from Tuesday, an episode coming entitled “Phoenix Rising” sounds in theory like it could be all about Jane trying to get her mojo back after some hard times:
“The team helps Korsak investigate an old case that has gone very, very cold. Jane refuses to believe that she’s not ready to go back on duty and takes some untraditional steps to stay involved.”
What this really shows to us is that regardless of whatever is going on right now in her personal life, Angie Harmon’s character is someone who is going to continuously want to be involved. As a matter of fact, she seems like one of those people who really cannot function fully without it.
We are getting near the summer part of this season, and above all we would say that there should be answers to at least most of your questions and concerns before we get to the end of the road.
What do you think is coming up later this season? Share some of your thoughts / theories now in the comments.

I love Rizzoli and Isles. I think the chemistry between them is of a great friendship. I have read most of the books. Rizzoli continues to be a strong woman who is also a mother! I think this should be continued in the new series (5). Lorraine Bracco portrays a wonderful grandmother – please let her be one!!!

I see Jane’s character going two ways: she has the baby and now the dynamic of the main character and the show must change; or she loses the baby and again dynamic change for at least a few follow up shows. I would like to see something work; say a stay at home dad situation. It works and no huge change in character or show dynamic just forward progression
Hmmm.

In the books, she is a caring, working Mum.
