‘Ray Donovan’ season 2, episode 4 preview: Ray and Cochran’s latest meeting
The more that we see of Cochran on “Ray Donovan,” the more it becomes apparent to us that this is not going to be a guy who just suddenly gets out of Ray’s life. If Liev Schreiber’s character is going to ever get this guy to disappear, he will have to actually try to ensure that he gets what he wants … or at least enough of it that he ultimately leaves him alone.
So in this new sneak peek, Hank Azaria’s character shows up with another new demand, and this time, it’s all about trying to convince Ray to get rid of Tiny. He knows that this man was present in the wrong place at the very wrong time, and therefore, this is the latest demand on a very long list.
As for whether or not Ray will actually give into this, though, we’re voting “not likely.” He’s more likely to come up with an alternative route to try to rectify the situation, just as he tried to with the reporter from Boston. Ray is the toughest snake around; while he can use violence when he wants to, his ability to scheme and manipulate is probably a little bit underrated.
Overall, though, we’ve enjoyed the presence of Cochran this season. It’s been nice to have someone present who keeps Ray on his toes from the very beginning, and there is no waiting around for the next crazy thing to happen.
