‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5 spoilers: A deeper look at ‘Burden of Proof’
As we get near the end of the summer season of “Rizzoli & Isles,” there are going to be some cases that come up of increasing intensity. One of these will be the episode entitled “Burden of Proof,” which may be the summer finale when it airs in early September.
So what can you expect in this big case? Basically, you are going to see some important stories about Maura and children, and also a case that brings to light a potentially-ugly side of the legal system. We’ve seen this sort of case tackled on some other procedural TV shows for a little while, but not one in particular like this one.
For some more specifics, just take a look at the official synopsis below (via SpoilerTV):
“A notable county prosecutor is arrested for murder; when Angela hears that Maura is planning to meet Jack’s daughter, she sets out to educate Maura about the interests of children today.”
Where do we expect to see this story go? Given that we are still a few episodes away from it airing, there is still a need to fill in some of the specific character details. For example, Jane has some big decisions and devastating storylines ahead, and given that she is such a big part of the story, it is odd to not even seen her mentioned here.
Then again, we’re interested in a more Maura-centric finale as we near the end of this summer season, given that this has been a very strong season for Jane so far and she’s gotten a ton of great things to do.
