‘True Blood’ season 7, episode 6: Anna Paquin, Ryan Kwanten, and a heart-to-heart

At the moment, we imagine that most of the cast of “True Blood” has plenty to talk about with the rest of the cast of “True Blood.” Just look at the deaths, hookups, and breakups that have happened just in the past few weeks.

In one of the first photos above from Sunday night’s new episode of the HBO hit entitled “Karma,” we can imagine a conversation happening that goes something like this:

• Sookie expressed all of her sadness and grief over the loss of her love Alcide, and is struggling to figure out what is next for her.
• Jason talks about how he is more confused than ever, given that he just cheated on Violet with Jessica, who was in turn the victim of cheating when James slept with Lafayette.
• The two can both talk about the Hep-V virus starting to spread, and put many of the characters that they love in danger of dying.
• Also, there’s the whole issue of Bon Temps right now as a town confused and under siege. Any of these conversation topics will do.

The thing that we’re the most happy about is that these two are talking at all. While the final season has been far from perfect, we do at least feel comforted that showrunner Brian Buckner has seemed to make an effort to keep the show relatively close to its roots of strong character stories that don’t go all over the place. It’s a vast improvement from last season, where everything felt like chaos at times and characters were not really interacting much.

“True Blood” has been in the headlines in an unusual way this week.
