‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4: Adam Horowitz on changes, writing, more
This has been a relatively slow Saturday when it comes to news across the television landscape, and with that we certainly appreciate getting to talk about “Once Upon a Time” via tweets from Adam Horowitz more than ever.
The show’s co-creator did a brief Q&A with fans this afternoon, at least for subject matters that were not related to spoilers on the show. (Some things have to remain secret, you know!) here are just a few assorted, and interesting, highlights.
- On how much things have changed since the pilot – “some things changed radically. but some stayed the same. It was always Emma comes to town as Savior & meets Mayor Regina.”
- On how his kids influence his writing – “my kids are huge influences. Especially when I write women. Want women on tv my daughters can look up to”
- On how he deals with writer’s block – “Surround myself with inspiring other writers and push through. The best cure for me is just writing and more writing”
Adam also promised that there would be some “surprises” for all who attend San Diego Comic-Con this year, just in case this does give you that little bit of an extra incentive to stand in line. While we’re not going to be at this particular panel, we can promise you that we will be in attendance at the convention this year and have as many up-to-the-minute scoops as humanly possible in the process.
The new season of “Once Upon a Time” is scheduled to premiere on ABC come Sunday, September 28. It’s nice to have that date finally confirmed, since now some of the anticipation can truly begin.
