‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5, episode 6 preview: The rebellious melon
There’s no other way to describe the episode of “Rizzoli & Isles” airing next week other than the word “fun.” This one just looks like a source of laughs! We know that we’ve had our fair share of serious moments this season, so getting a case where some sort of melon appears to be the murder weapon is something we appreciate.
Obviously, our first inclination when watching the promo below is to believe that the murderer here could somehow be Gallagher, but we don’t think that even he would treat a piece of fruit so badly. This case is going to be a difficult one for Jane to figure out, mostly because she’s not going to have the typical aid of Maura, and she will have to rely more on the help of some other characters to figure out what in the world is going on here. (Good luck with that.)
This episode is entitled “Knockout,” and you can grab some fairly-generic details in addition to the promo courtesy of the attached synopsis:
“With Maura at a Medical Examiner’s convention, Jane needs Susie’s (guest star Tina Huang) help and crime scene dioramas to solve the perfect murder. Meanwhile, Korsak is visited by the son of an old friend and forced to deal with painful unfinished business.”
It’s hard to really list out too many expectations for an episode that has a somewhat-silly murder weapon in the first place. In the end, we suppose that the only thing that we are really hoping for here is that everything ties together, and there is some sort of proper reasoning for fruit being used when it comes to murder.
