‘Homeland’ season 4 teaser: Claire Danes and not a whole lot else
“Homeland” season 4 is still relatively early in production, so you cannot be completely surprised that the show’s first promo is not the most revealing thing in the entire world.
Basically, this video operates as little more than a teaser, where you see some sights and images related largely to what this show is all about: A quest to stop international terrorism. There is nothing about a particular story, character development, or really anything of the like. If you were hoping for something more, you’re probably walking away right now with disappointment on your face.
What we can tell you right now may be a little more informative in terms of the story. Season 4 of the show is going to feature Carrie Mathison in Pakistan, working internationally with a team to stop greater terror threats there. While Saul may no longer be officially employed by the CIA, you are going to see plenty of Mandy Patinkin involved in the story. The same goes for Rupert Friend’s Quinn, with the major difference there being strictly that he is very involved still with the agency. As a matter of fact, there are all of those rumors out there constantly about whether or not he and Carrie will hook up.
Hopefully, all of this will culminate in a season that really serves as a nice comeback for the show. While season 3 definitely had its moments and Claire Danes brought the goods most of the time, the story just felt a little disjointed and save for killing Brody off, we don’t quite feel like the producers really had any idea what to do with Damian Lewis.
