‘Masters of Sex’ season 2, episode 1 video: A powerful Michael Sheen, Lizzy Caplan scene

Are Masters and Johnson in an affair, a business practice, or something very different altogether? This is the subject of the sneak peek below for Sunday night’s “Masters of Sex” premiere.

In the video below, you can see the discussion between Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan’s characters after the two parties seemingly had sex together at Virginia’s apartment for the first time … a drastic change from anything that they had done before then. For the first time, there were no wires studying anything and everything when it comes to the two of them being together.

So will this continue? Given where the two parties end up, you have to believe that it will, but they are not going to settle for just that. There is another important priority here that must be met in that the two have to find a way to get the study back off the ground. Masters was let go at the university, and that is of course a very big roadblock in their way. The only thing that should serve as a little bit of solace is that times are starting to get more and more progressive as the show nears the 1960s, and thanks to that he may be able to pick up another venue … especially with the amount of research and data that he has at his disposal. He has to just find someone willing to listen, and not solely interested in calling his work “smut.”
