‘Hell on Wheels’ season 4: Another image of returning favorite

For a good percentage of the offseason for “Hell on Wheels,” the show did a good job of keeping one of their biggest cliffhangers a secret: What in the world happened to Elam. It was easy to assume that the character died as a result of a bear attack, and there were no word on his status from the Calgary set for a while.

However, there was recently some (SPOILER ALERT) confirmation that the character will be very much back at some point in season 4. However, this does not mean that Elam is going to be turning up and suddenly okay. Maybe he appears in flashbacks, or there are some surprising complications to his injury.

What we have here is a photo shared by showrunner John Wirth on Twitter of “the happy couple,” meaning Common’s character and Robin McLeavy’s Eva. You can perceive this photo in however way that you want, at least when it comes to story possibilities. For the time being, let’s just say that it’s a rather sweet image, and it’s nice to get another look at Common at work.

Luckily, it’s not like you are going to have to suffer forever waiting for the show to come back on the air. August 2 is not that far away, and there will be many more teases and surprises that come in your direction before then. These sort of teases are the ones that we enjoy the most; rather than give anything definitive away (since we already knew Common was returning), they instead make us ask questions.
