‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: Has a former guest star been cast again?
“Supernatural” loves to cast actors familiar with the show’s Vancouver location, and they also love to bring back people from the past … even if it is for an entirely new role.
In a post on her Twitter account last week, actress / model Raquel Riskin announced that she will be playing the recurring role of Dar on the CW show’s upcoming 10th season. The twist here? She actually appeared previously in the episode “I Believe the Children Are Our Future” from back in 2009. She should be able to properly chameleon herself from one role to the other, and yes we did just use the word “chameleon” like a verb.
If there is one thing that we have learned about “Supernatural” over the years, it is that female characters do not last very long with some exceptions (see Charlie or Jody Mills). Maybe Dar will join that list? It’s going to be hard on her, given that this is not a show that regularly employs an enormous cast. We at least know that you will not have to wait long to see this character, given that she will be a part of at least one early installment this year.
“Supernatural” season 10 will premiere on October 7, and away from new characters, we know that what viewers want to know most right now relates to Jensen Ackles’ Dean. How long will he remain a demon, and what does this really mean? We are certainly excited to get answers to all of this and more.
What do you think about Riskin signing on for the show? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and head over here if you want to score some other new “Supernatural” updates. For other TV scoop sent right to your email, sign up now for our CarterMatt Newsletter.

Dean should remain a demon for at least 10 episodes. I’m tired of him always getting the magic cure (like he did when he was a vamp) because the show apparently doesn’t want to give him a long story arc. Don’t mess this up, Jeremy Carver.
