‘Masters of Sex’ season 2, episode 1 preview: Masters’ move in ‘Parallax’

Next week, Showtime will premiere the latest season of “Masters of Sex,” but the good news that we have for you now is that you don’t have to wait any longer to see the first promo.

In this video, you basically have some more proof that the relationship between Dr. William Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) is not going to be ending; instead, it will only be picking up and become even more passionate. The difference now is that rather than just a sex study, it is an affair with the “work” attached to it, as Virginia notes. An affair is still an affair, so we’re not willing to shed that aspect of what the relationship has become.

What will spawn out from this move by Dr. Masters could be the source of most of the drama for the rest of the season. This is a man who loves to present the image of a family man and a doting husband, which explains him trying to pass off himself in a room using a false name. Libby may be a little naive from time to time for thinking that her relationship with Bill can improve, but she is most definitely not an idiot. She is already suspicious, and that is going to grow as we get further and further along into the second season. As for those who already know the history between the married couple, you already know where we are going.
