‘Law & Order: SVU’: The coolest way to prepare for season 16
If you look back to last month, you may have heard a very interesting story regarding the flurry of actors from “Orange Is the New Black” who have appeared on “Law & Order: SVU” over the years. It’s practically the entire supporting cast, and this was yet another testament to the fact that the NBC show has been around forever, and that many of the Netflix series’ stars have been around in the business for a very long time before breaking through.
Now, you have an opportunity to see all of these appearances in one place courtesy of a lengthy supercut that was posted on Slate. It’s a pretty interesting watch, especially since it is one part history lesson, and also another part getting to know some of the catalog for the actors prior to when you knew a whole lot about them.
Also, it’s yet another nice way to start looking ahead to the NBC show’s upcoming 16th season. There will definitely be a whole chorus of new guest stars on the show, with many of them being relative unknowns that could go on to find something big later. This is the sort of show that helps many young actors either find their start, or break out so that they can do other things in the future.
Who knows? Maybe “SVU” will look at the popularity now of “Orange Is the New Black,” and take advantage of the opportunity now to bring in one of these actors to reprise a role. It seems like some great publicity for all parties involved.

Are the actors/actresses in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK being paid so little money that we need to read another article like this? There are tons of A-LIST actors and actresses out there that would be available. Why not have some of the cast of GAME OF THRONES on the show? Someone wrote that OZ had a lot of characters that were on SVU at some point(and they are correct about that). Why not bring some of them back? I’m sure that they can use the money. Perhaps some keeps writing about this because they are hoping to see something happen between Mariska Hargitay and Kelli Giddish? Should SVU care about the popularity of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK? If O.I.T.N.B was restricted to doing what a regular TV show is able to do, it would already have been cancelled. One show is going into its 16th season, the other one is going into its 3rd?
