‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 5, episode 4 preview: Doomsday preppers and much more
There are times that you watch a murder-mystery show looking for the character development, or to be moved by a very particular storyline that you find a connection to. Then, there are also times that you watch the show just to be completely entertained by a case. That is what we are expecting from “Doomsday,” the episode of “Rizzoli & Isles” that is going to be coming to TNT next week. Nothing in it looks to be particularly profound, but we’re going to probably have a good time piecing together this mystery and figuring out where in the world the team goes from here.
You can get a sense of what is to come in the promo below, but since this, like many other TNT shows, seems to be a little bit scattershot, you may get a better insight into everything courtesy of the official synopsis:
“When a man is found murdered inside his supposedly impenetrable doomsday fallout shelter, the squad must figure out how and why he was targeted. Jane finds it difficult to focus on the case when she discovers Korsak is looking into retirement and Frankie is keeping a secret of his own.”
Eventually, we have to assume that Jane finds a way to stay concentrated (though it may be difficult), just as this feels like the sort of case that has to be resolved within the span of a single episode. Otherwise, the show is violating their own procedural form for the second time this season, and we don’t think that they would do this with any sort of regularity.
