‘Orphan Black’ season 3 renewal: What’s the latest?

Orphan Black -There are many mysteries in the world of “Orphan Black,” with one of the latest ones being what we saw during the season 2 finale.

However, there is another mystery that entered the fold late in the show’s second season: Why in the world this was not renewed ages ago. Think about that for a second. This is a critical darling, BBC America’s most-loved original series, and also something that could get Tatiana Maslany the Emmy love she so deserves this year. There are not that many other products this past year that have put together that sort of incredible resume.

Luckily, it does seem like there is some great news coming on the horizon. According to TVLine, the renewal for a third season is at this point “imminent,” and we are inclined to agree. Most of the stars / producers for the show talked after the season 2 finale like a renewal was for sure going to happen, and the waiting was more of a formality than anything else.

While we definitely understand that this is not the highest-rated show in the entire world, what we would remind you of here is that its numbers did increase significant during its second season compared with the first, and it did this without having the cushion of a “Doctor Who” lead-in helping it out. If this does not impress you, well … you are probably not impressed very easily.

If and when this news is eventually announced, you can be sure that we will have more on it here.
