‘Royal Pains’ season 6, episode 4 preview: First look at ‘Steaks on a Plane’

Tonight, the picture on “Royal Pains” became at least reasonably more complicated, as we learned that Eddie’s secret daughter Emma was not exactly everything she was professing herself to be. She was actually underage, and had a history in card-counting and doing some other behaviors that are less than savory.

However, she has a potential shot here at a second chance in the Hamptons, and next week’s episode entitled “Steaks on a Plane” (we can picture Samuel L. Jackson screaming that already) is a great opportunity to further along this story. The photo above clearly shows her trying to handle a job that was conveniently open thanks to Divya losing a nanny a little earlier on in the episode, but she also seems to be asking Evan for something very specific. Is it money? Facial expressions have us worried.

We have to talk more extensively about this photo than most other promotional material right now, largely because the short synopsis from TV Guide is fairly useless: “Firefighter Randy is is determined to win Divya’s heart.” The promo that aired after tonight’s episode (which is not online just yet) was a little more exciting. If you have been eagerly awaiting to see more of a traveling Hank alongside Boris, you will likely enjoy what the story will be providing with this episode. The larger mystery will be why Hank is heading off on a plane with him again, and how far he is going to be gone. Given that this season is supposed to be a return to the series’ roots, that may be good evidence that he will not be gone for too long.
