‘Falling Skies’ season 4, episode 2 preview: Anne’s search for Lexi and more
The “Falling Skies” season 4 premiere on Sunday was certainly interesting for a number of different reasons, with the primary one being that the entire feel of the show is different. This doesn’t feel like the same sort of military/survival drama it once did, and it has become much more of a product of science fiction. This is something we certainly are thrilled with.
With this being said, there are still many questions. It’s hard to know what to make out of Lexi right now, just as it is hard to know what Maggie was thinking in finally giving in to her for the time being.
For now, let’s go ahead and share the official synopsis for the next episode below, as it includes a few details about Tom’s hope to escape, and Anne taking her search for her daughter to a new level.
“The Espheni reveal their new plan to Tom, and he is faced with an impossible decision. Meanwhile, Weaver and Pope investigate a way out of the Espheni prison, while Matt struggles to hide his true allegiance from the ‘Team Leaders’ at the Espheni Youth Camp. Elsewhere, Anne leads an exhausting search for her daughter Lexi, while Ben’s concerns about Lexi’s increasing powers uncovers a devastating secret she’s been keeping.”
The word “devastating” here certainly cannot be good, can it? We assume that this means that there will be something that perhaps lets us know that this character is not exactly fighting on the side that we have thought. She is not fully human, which is why we’ve always been surprised by how willing everyone else has been to go with her.

What do I want to see coming up on “Falling Skies”? I want to wake up and discover that the first episode of season 4 was only a dream, in reality a nightmare. I want to wake up and discover that the real first episode of the season had not yet aired!
The aliens go from a plan to exterminate all life on the planet in three months to one in which they recreate the Hitler Youth?????? Blah! I haven’t witnessed this kind of butchering of a storyline since the second season of the 1988-1990 TV series “War of the Worlds” when everything about the show was totally changed. Like “War of the Worlds,” “Falling Skies” has become unrecognizable. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. As far as I am concerned, “Falling Skies” ended in 2013. What I tuned into on Sunday was a completely different show; one that I will not be watching. Bring back the real “Falling Skies!”
