ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7: The tiny (but welcome) Stana Katic – Beckett tease

A little tease is better than no tease at all, right? In June, you sometimes just have to take all the information that you can get when it comes to a show like “Castle.” There is not that much at all being put out into the press, mostly because the writers are currently in the thick of the process of getting the story and early scripts prepared for the actors to arrive.

With that, prepare for one of the shortest and most-inconsequential teases ever! Still, it’s fun and it is far better to be grateful for what we have than having nothing at all.

This whiteboard image comes from writer Dara Creasey on Twitter, and it is really as self-explanatory as self-explanatory can be: It’s Beckett’s name! We’d say that this is a sign that the character (played by Stana Katic) was involved in early episodes this season, but you had to know that already. She and the rest of the NYPD are the only hope that Rick has of getting out of his current situation alive.

Still, this is a nice little reminder that many writers rooms utilize the same tools (and whiteboards) to map out some of the early ideas of the season. We have seen similar teases from other shows over the past few weeks, and more of these will come throughout the summer in various shapes and forms.

“Castle” will still not be premiering until September 22 at the very earliest, given that this seems to be the first day of the official fall season based on data that we’ve seen.
