‘Homeland’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Life of Pi’ star (not the tiger) lands recurring role
Is Claire Danes going to be spending the majority of “Homeland” season 4 on a board with a tiger? Not exactly, but she will spend quite a bit of time interacting with another one of the stars from the Ang Lee film “Life of Pi.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, actor Suraj Sharma is going to recur on the Showtime drama in the part of Aayan Ibrahim, a medical student in Pakistan who becomes tied to Carrie in some way during the season. It is interesting that we are continuing to see so many character here that are in Pakistan, given that Carrie was supposedly assigned to be in Turkey at the end of the third season. (You can click here to see some of the other characters we are talking about now.)
Production on season 4 is getting set to go into gear in South Africa, which is doubling as the other settings for the show. As for a premiere date, the way that Showtime has “Ray Donovan” and “Masters of Sex” scheduled right now suggests that early October would be the earliest they would be able to schedule the “Homeland” premiere, and if it ran all the way through without interruptions, it would go all of the way until December 21. That is not exactly a lot of time before Christmas, but at the same time we are rather grateful to have this much new programming coming up next month.
