‘Silicon Valley’ season 2: Story possibilities from Kumail Nanjiani
Every TV season, there are a few shows that you just assume are going to be good the moment you hear about them, and then you have to sit around and hope that they actually live up to expectations. “Silicon Valley” is one of them. The premise alone was fascinating, but then you add to that a cast that includes T.J. Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, Thomas Middleditch, and Zach Woods along with Mike Judge as executive producer, we’re pretty close to comedy paradise, waiting for someone to deliver us one of those super-expensive cocktails on the beach.
One of the other great things about tonight is that we can watch the finale, which features the gang at TechCrunch, without feeling too worry about the future. Season 2 is already official, and will premiere on HBO at some point next year. The only question that remains is what to expect.
While you’re not going to get any concrete spoilers now for a story that has not been written yet, Nanjiani did a good job summarizing a little of what you may see in a chat with MTV News:
“Season Two I think, from what I’ve heard, might continue [to] put us out of our comfort zone. There’s the house, and that’s where we’re most comfortable … and then the last two episodes we go to TechCrunch, and suddenly the roof is gone and it’s all very scary.
“So I think the plan is to continue putting us in situations where we aren’t comfortable, and it’s going to be really interesting. [Judge] told me a couple of ideas and it seems like things are gonna get pretty intense.”
The show will start filming a little later this fall, and hopefully we will have more news on casting and other scoop around that time.
