MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4, episode 8 preview: More surprises for Ashley Rickards, cast

Tonight’s new episode of “Awkward” season 4 certainly ended with a twist that will shake up the foundation of the series for quite a while moving forward: Jake and Matty getting arrested following a night trying to attend a concert where everything went terribly wrong.

Will they be able to get out of this? Given that this has been possible for other characters in the past, we cannot rule it out. Unfortunately for Matty, one of his major options for help out there in Jenna doesn’t seem to be particularly willing. Instead, she directed Eva to someone else for a change.

Ashley Rickards will get a chance to play the gamut in this episode, as it looks like Jenna’s relationship with college guy Luke may already be on the outs. After all, she catches him with another woman in a compromising position when she decides to surprise him, and therefore, he has some major explaining to do. Maybe it’s not as bad as it seems, but based on Jenna’s own history cheating in the past, she should be able to understand just how this feels.

There is one final thing that we have still to tease for this episode (fittingly titled “Prison Breaks”), and you can see that in the short synopsis released recently by MTV:

“Jenna decides to visit Luke at college; Matty and Jake spend a night in jail; Tamara has an unexpected hookup.”

So who could Tamara hook up with? We’ll leave that part a mystery for now, but this is significant mostly because it could finally get her head away from Jake for a change.
