‘Masters of Sex’ season 2: Lizzy Caplan, cast talk challenges ahead
On July 13, “Masters of Sex” will return to Showtime for its second season, and thanks to the video below, there is already one thing that we are surprised about: More Beau Bridges!
We’re not quite sure where in the world this guy found the time to actually appear in the new season thanks to his role on “The Millers,” and if he does remain a part of the show, we cannot imagine he will be in every episode. Still, he was by far a highlight of the first season.
In addition to him being present, you also see in the video the likes of Michael Sheen (Bill) and Lizzy Caplan (Virginia) tease a little bit more of what is coming in terms of story. There are many great things ahead in terms of drama, as you have an ever-forming love triangle between Libby, Masters, and Virginia to go along with huge new challenges when it comes to the sex study. What happens when you don’t have the support that you were hoping for, but you still want to push forward? This is something that will be addressed in here.
The biggest challenge that we see for “Masters of Sex” season 2 is merely whether or not the writers are going to have anything left in the tank. After all, you have to remember that this season was put together with three months less preparation time than usual, which is something that we saw “Dexter” struggle with during its final season. Hopefully, the fact that this is a newer show in comparison will make this at least reasonably easier for the cast to handle.
