ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4 spoilers: Will there be no flash-forward?

Over the past few years on “Revenge,” there have been many things that have changed. However, there have also been some things that have stayed the same. One of these such things? Having a flash-forward to start off the season that gives you an idea of just what could be coming up ahead. Weddings have been a big theme here, with the season 3 surprise being Emily Thorne getting shot at her own wedding.

So what could we expect with season 4? Believe it or not, but we may have made it to the point of no return when it come to these flash-forwards. As show boss Sunil Nayar tells E! News, the new dynamic with Victoria Grayson may actually take precedence over just about everything else:

“[We want] shake things up a little bit and do the unexpected and that said, I adore the flash-forwards … But there’s a chance to shake it up from the very first frame of season four, so fans think, ‘OK, this is a show that I love, but it’s going to be different and surprise me.’ There’s a chance we might not do it.”

So when will we have a better answer to this? Think along the lines of several weeks down the road, when the writers start to really get a chance to craft together some of the stories that could be coming up ahead.
