NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ season 2 finale spoilers: One last look; season 3 possibilities

Tonight, NBC is going to be saying goodbye to “Hannibal” for the spring, and it’ll be doing so with an episode that provides almost everything that you want. There will be relentless action, major twists and turns, and also that long-teased fight between Jack and Hannibal that you saw teased in the premiere.

But where will all of this go? The new promo below really does not reveal too much, save for setting the stakes and showing all of the major threats that are out there to ruin Hannibal once and for all. You have multiple people now with the capacity of putting him away, whether you are talking about Will Graham, Jack, or his recent lover Alana Bloom.

So where could the story go from here? Given that a season 3 for the show has already been confirmed, they can continue to build the momentum to where it needs to be. The good thing about this show is that it is ultimately finite, and there is only so much of the Hannibal story that you can tell. That allows Bryan Fuller the opportunity to work meticulously on getting the story to where it needs to be, which in this situation may be finally pushing Hannibal to where he is more on the run rather than in a position of power. We don’t really think that you can do the same thing with them in the terrible therapist mode all over again and have it work
