‘The Vampire Diaries season 6 spoilers: Will Elena support a Caroline, Stefan romance?
For 5 seasons now on “The Vampire Diaries” we’ve watched Elena go back and forth between Stefan and Damon Salvatore. One season she’s dating Stefan, one season it’s Damon. With this love triangle changing all the time, it only makes sense that the brothers would move on at some point and maybe find love with another woman… someone that can make up their mind and make a commitment.
There has been a build up of a friendship (possibly more) this past season between Caroline and Stefan. When this all started the fandom seemed to be split between wanting them to be together and wanting them to have a really strong sister/brother relationship, but now the tide is turning and Caroline is battling some feelings for Stefan.
So how is Elena going to take this news? Even when she’s dating one Salvatore brother, she usually has the other one in her back pocket pining away over her. Actress Nina Dobrev spoke to TVline about the situation and said that Elena will find a way to “be OK” with the situation. She said: “It’s going to be a little awkward, but let’s be real, who is Elena to judge? She dated a brother, then dated his brother, then went back and forth. She can’t say anything. She has no right.”

I totally ship steroline. Have for yrs. They’ve never had a brother/sister vibe and never will. I think they work great as friends. BUT they can work great as something more. And it happens. Best friends opposite sex, they’re gonna think “what if” at some point in time, and this is their time. I say let em go for it, and see what happens. I’m glad that Caroline is starting to realize her feelings, personally, i was hoping Stefan would be first, but w/e this works too. After all these years it’s FINALLY coming to the surface, and as long as they take it slow, but keep it steady, i think the outcome will be amazing. This is what i’d like in this order…realization, struggle with realization, crack, make a confession, talk it out, have a first date see how it feels (i prefer they go out dancing), if it feels weird for Stefan, then they can go back to friends, if he’s comfortable with it (which i think he will be) then keep it moving. Progress the relationship, and be happy. No need for them to jump into the sack, i don’t want that at all. Like i said, slow and steady, if JP throws them in bed too soon, i’m gonna be pissed.

I don’t like the chemistry w/Stefan and Caroline. And what’s up with Caroline taking Elena’s leftovers. First Matt, now Stefan.. I don’t have a problem with Stefan being with somebody, but I don’t think Caroline is the right girl.

honestly doe why ruin the love triangle. I mean everyone prefers Caroline with Klaus their personality matches one another but the whole point is will Stephen ever love Caroline? The love triangle is one of the main reasons why Vampire diaries exist :P

Yeah, but I’ve read a lot of reactions from people who no longer “like” Elena so much because of how Stefan seems to pine for her. I don’t think she’s gone back and forth so much as ppl think though. Kat did it brazenly and ppl like her (but maybe it’s becuz they started out hating her that it became easier to like her.) And they expected all this humanity and morality from Elena so they didn’t like her evolution, even if she had to move on when her views didn’t match her life. She’s still empathetic, but I think she’s hardened up a bit, seeing so much death, as anybody would.
