‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Big news for Spencer / Toby fans

While Hanna / Caleb, Emily / Paige, and Aria / Ezra all received a ton of airtime throughout season 4 of “Pretty Little Liars,” there is a part of us that is admittedly still struggling to try and wrap our heads around what in the world happened for Spencer and Toby. By and large, their relationship was the one that came and went the most in terms of airtime, though to be fair it also received so much during season three that there wasn’t any real reason to press it too much while everything with Ezra was going down.

Ultimately, we do come bearing some great news now if you are a fan of the couple: There will be some very good stuff on the way soon! According to a post from Twitter coming from none other than show executive producer Marlene King, the second episode of season 5 will be a big one for Keegan Allen and Troian Bellisario’s characters. The waiting will be over, and you’ll get a chance to see a little bit more of what happens to these two parties next.

Like with some of the other couples, we do still feel like these two are endgame, and even though Spencer has had problems with addiction, there are positives here! For one, at least neither party is lying about anything on the same level that Ezra was, and one of them hasn’t been away from the other for an extended period of time like Hanna and Caleb.
