‘Game of Thrones’ season 4, episode 7 preview: The Brienne and Pod adventure

There has to be something of interest coming for Brienne and Pod on “Game of Thrones” … right? We like to assume that we see every story for a reason, and this therefore must quality as one of those.

The last we saw these two on their bizarre adventure, they were heading in the wrong direction to find Sansa Stark, and Gwendoline Christie’s character was stuck really dealing with someone who had no business being out on the road with her. If there is a good word right now that we would use to describe this, it would be “hapless.” It is hard to really imagine this journey ending with anything other than a sad face, given that they have not exactly been doing very well with it so far.

We still find this photo above from Sunday night’s new episode “Mockingbird” to be pretty awesome, and we will therefore try to use this as some sort of indication that there could be some very cool things on the way for the two of them. Early before the season started, Christie had said that there were some tough things ahead for Brienne, and unless she was just talking about having to deal with leaving Jaime Lannister, we do not quite think that we have arrived at those said bad things yet. There is still plenty of exciting television in our eyes still to come here.
