‘Chicago PD’ finale spoilers: Big things ahead for Lindsay, Voight

On Wednesday night, the “Chicago PD” finale is going to air over on NBC, but the news that we have for you now is that there is no reason to worry about waiting that long in order to find out some scoop.

Specifically, what we have for you in this article a little bit about Lindsay’s past, and just how important a role that is going to have in the story ahead. For some more on that, we turn to series star Jason Beghe (Voight), and some of the comments that he shared recently in an interview with E! News:

“It is a really beautiful episode…We learn a lot about why Voight and Lindsay have the relationship that they do. We learn some very hard to digest information about where Lindsay came from and so it was an exercise for me, certainly.”

In the end, we expect this to be an especially emotional episode, and it follows up some of the recent “Chicago PD” traditions of focusing mostly about the characters, and not really trying to deliver just a bunch of shockers for the sake of giving shockers. They don’t want to milk things for no reason. We’ve long felt like this is the best strategy for the show, since it gives you a chance to get to know these people before it lets some of the craziness take form in future seasons when it comes to shockers.

For those who haven’t heard yet, “Chicago PD” will not only be back next fall, it will air at the same time Wednesdays.
