‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: The mystery of Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric stays … mysterious
“True Blood” does a good job of keeping their secrets, though they of course have that extra motivation right now courtesy of the fact that this is the final season, and anyone who spills anything too big runs the risk of being chased down by HBO and having the blood sucked right out of them.
So going into season 7, one of the biggest secrets is the fate of Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric. We know that he is still a major part of the show, so that in itself suggests that he is not going to die. (Granted, maybe the show wants to give you a season of Ghost Eric … anything is possible.)
Just to give you an example of how secretive the cast is being in regards to Eric’s future on the show, Amelia Rose Blaire (Willa Burrell) said the following to Zap2It when asked about whether or not we could see her character’s relationship with the vampire change:
“I’m not going to answer that question because I don’t want to give away anything about Eric. I know that he is one of the most popular characters on the show, and literally every time I have an interview, everybody asks about him. So I don’t want to say anything about that because I want people to be surprised.”
To be fair, Blaire was pretty coy when also discussing the story for the upcoming season as a whole, though there is at least a tiny tease more in here than in the quote above:
“In true ‘True Blood’ tradition, we’re going to pick up right where they left off. So where we left off, the Hep-V vamps were encircling Bellefleur’s. To put it nicely, s*** was about to go down. After that, I don’t really want to say much else, but being the final season of ‘True Blood’ — which is a show that always pushes the boundaries — I think anything can happen and everything will happen.”
The final season of “True Blood” kicks off on Sunday, June 22 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, so at least you’re only going to waiting for less than 60 days now. That’s at least something, right?

without Eric the show isn’t worth watching. He is the best character and easy on the eyes. I love the way he comes across mean and manipulative and then turns around and does something kind and loving. Alexander Skarsgard plays him perfectly- a sympathetic scoundrel who you just can’t help liking.

They try pulling that lame ass Ghost Eric or try killing him off with the Hep V there is going to be some very upset people, given the garbage they shoved last season. Unfortunately it is going to be the season of Beeeel and the idiot doormat Soooooka, being shoved up and down any orafice possible. Thinking of just catching the Eric bits on the net, and that is all it will be, bits. They have to keep the viewers fixed on the less than stellar acting of Moyer and the lack luster Paquin, who before someone reminds me again of her “oscar” when she was 8, same time she peaked.
